At Athabasca University (AU), we know how important it is for you to complete your degree—and the hundreds of awards, bursaries, and scholarships available to you can make it easier! There are several awards, bursaries, and scholarships with an application deadline early in the new year that can help you reach your educational goals.
Apply by Jan. 15, 2022, for the following awards and bursaries:

- MEF Metis Scholar Awards
- Dr. Gary McPherson Leadership Scholarship
- Jason Lang Scholarship
- Laurence Decore Award for Student Leadership
- Lois Hole Humanities and Social Science Scholarship
- Louise McKinney Scholarship
- AU 50th Anniversary I-CARE Completion Bursary
A full listing of available awards and deadlines can be found on the Student Awards page. While some awards are available to all learners, many have been created specifically for program students.
There are a variety of funding sources for AU awards and bursaries, many of which are supported by AU community members through charitable donations.
