B.C. wildfires: Important information for learners
Update for students living in proximity to British Columbia wildfires.
Athabasca University (AU) extends our thoughts to our learners, alumni, and their families and friends who are dealing with the devastating wildfires in B.C.
We can appreciate that your AU coursework is undoubtedly the least of your priorities at this time. If there is any way that we can help alleviate concerns you have about your studies with AU, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Disaster contingency
If you are an AU learner living in an evacuated B.C. community or are supporting one of these communities as a first-responder, please know that we are here to help. Options for exams, course extensions, pausing your studies, or withdrawals are available and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
These supports have been enacted to ensure that your studies do not add to your current stress. If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Information Centre (contact info below).
