Hurricane Fiona: Important information for students
Update for students affected by Hurricane Fiona
Athabasca University (AU) extends our thoughts to our students, alumni, and their families and friends who are dealing with the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Fiona.
We can appreciate that your AU coursework is undoubtedly the least of your priorities at this time. If there is any way that we can help alleviate concerns you have about your studies with AU, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
If you are an AU student who lives in a community affected by the hurricane or are supporting as a first-responder, please know that we are here to help. Options for replacing learning resources, exams, course extensions, pausing your studies, or withdrawals are available and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
These supports have been enacted to ensure that your studies do not add to your current stress. If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Information Centre.
