Indigenous Student Awards: Apply now
If you are pursuing or have been thinking about pursuing an Athabasca University degree, why not lighten the financial load with a student award?
The numerous awards, scholarships and bursaries listed on Athabasca University’s Student Awards website go a long way in helping our learners succeed. Our awards are easy to apply for – and they can especially ease the financial constraints that might otherwise prevent a student from attending AU, let alone successfully completing his or her degree.
Our Indigenous Awards are no exception.
Athabasca University encourages Indigenous learners (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) to pursue and complete undergraduate or graduate studies with us. With that in mind, we’d like to tell you about some of the Indigenous Awards we currently have.
For example, there’s the Métis Education Foundation (MEF) Métis Scholar award (open to B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario students).
There are also the Indigenous Careers, and the Indigenous Graduate awards, specific to Alberta students.
Simply scroll through the links below to find more detailed information, including the online application form applicable for each award. Alternatively, you can visit the AU Student Awards Application System to complete the application process.
