PowerED™ by Athabasca University announces partnership with CPHR Alberta

PowerED™ by Athabasca University is excited to announce a partnership with CPHR Alberta, a professional association dedicated to strengthening the human resources profession.

PowerED™ is an award-winning entrepreneurial unit within Athabasca University that builds on the university’s rich history as a leader in online learning, flexibility, and accessibility. PowerED™ embraces innovative, next-level learning and is committed to providing tangible tools and competency development to inspire breakthroughs—for individuals, employees, and organizations—with immediate impact.

“PowerED™ is thrilled to be partnering with CPHR Alberta to extend our high-quality online and on-demand professional development micro-offerings to CPHR Alberta members,” said Jessica Scott, Director of PowerED™.

“The PowerED™ micro-credentials being offered to CPHR Alberta members have been selected and tailored to fit their unique HR needs and skills. The environment has been specifically branded and designed for CPHR Alberta members, and we are excited for them to get enrolled and upskill their credentials with our in-demand, on-demand offerings.”

With this agreement, CPHR Alberta members will be able to access a number of micro-offerings through PowerED™, including Embracing Allyship & Inclusion, Coach Approach for Leadership Development and two leadership micro-credentials: Essential Skills for Leaders and the Leader Development Program.

All these on-demand courses and certificates will be delivered through a secure CPHR Alberta member platform and are available for registration through members’ own customized learning portals. Members will have access to view upcoming and recommended courses along with those that they have already registered for. All courses will be offered to members at a preferred rate and have been pre-approved for CPD hours.

“This is one of the most exciting partnerships we’ve seen for CPHR Alberta members,” said Rod Miller, President and CEO of CPHR Alberta. “The content is of high-quality and relevant for HR professionals. The learning portal is easy to access and navigate. I know that members are going to find a lot of value through the learning that PowerED™ is offering.”

To kick off the partnership, CPHR Alberta will be hosting a webinar on “The Future of Learning” on Friday, March 26, at noon MDT. Join Rod Miller and Jessica Scott in conversation with Dr. Neil Fassina, President of Athabasca University, as they discuss insights into the future of higher education and its value proposition for lifelong learners.
