Upcoming system outages

Planned outages on March 31 and April 1 may affect AU student access to certain websites

Some Athabasca University systems will be closed March 31 and April 1 as part of regularly scheduled year-end processes. Access to active online courses will not be impacted, but some services will not be available. Please plan accordingly. 

Thursday, March 31

Athabasca University’s registration system, Office of the Registrar online system, as well as the Faculty of Business online payment system, will be offline from 8 p.m. (Mountain) on Thursday, March 31, to 12:01 a.m. on Friday, April 1, for fiscal year-end processing. 

Current access and study in active online courses will not be affected. The following services will be offline during this period: 

  • Viewing electronic letters and grades 
  • Creating transcript requests; viewing of transfer credit and/or admission status 
  • Change programs (graduate and undergraduate) 
  • Course extensions and withdrawals
  • Course registrations 
  • Exam requests 
  • Faculty of Business online payment system 

Friday, April 1

Athabasca University’s registration system, Office of the Registrar online systems well as the Faculty of Business online payment system, will be offline from 5 p.m. (Mountain) on Friday, April 1, to 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, for fiscal year-end processing. 

Current access and study in active online courses will not be affected. The following services will be offline during this period: 

  • Viewing electronic letters and grades 
  • Creating transcript requests; viewing of transfer credit and/or admission status 
  • Change programs (graduate and undergraduate) 
  • Course extensions and withdrawals
  • Course registrations 
  • Exam requests 
  • Faculty of Business online payment system
