Date and Time:
October 25, 2019 6:00 pm - October 27, 2019 12:00 pm MST
Location:
Executive Royal Hotel Leduc
8450 Sparrow Drive
Leduc, AB
Description:

The Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS), the Athabasca University Graduate Students’ Association (AUGSA), and the university community have come together again to present our annual Graduate Student Research Conference (GSRC).

Every year, Athabasca University (AU) graduate students present their research virtually and in person to the academic community. They share their ideas and receive critical reviews of their work in a supportive and yet scholarly environment of colleagues and faculty members.

This year’s theme is One AU. As stated in the AU strategic plan, Imagine, “We are one university. We achieve more together.” We embrace collaboration and connectivity among our diverse individual community members. We are a vibrant and inclusive community that welcomes and celebrates the success of our learners.

We provide accessibility to education for everyone to achieve their individual learning goals and to reach their highest potential. Our learners are part of our community, and in turn can enrich their communities.

This forum will offer AU students a chance to showcase their planned, ongoing, and recently completed research. We will be accepting submissions in a variety of formats, including abstracts for paper presentations, as well as for shorter poster-style presentations.

Current graduate students and recently graduated alumni are invited to submit an abstract for either a paper or poster presentation. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed.

AUGSA is sponsoring CASH prizes for the top three abstract submissions!

1st place – $250
2nd place – $150
3rd place – $100

We are pleased to accept abstracts for both virtual and in-person poster and paper presentations.

The deadline for abstract submissions is August 1st.
