The program will include the following research mobilization sessions and engagement opportunities:
- “Lightning talk” thematic sessions with more than forty AU researchers
- A student-focused research evening session
- Networking lounges to explore new collaborations
- A virtual exhibition hall to profile AU’s research faculties and support services as well as connect with external partners, funders, and networks
- Keynote addresses by Dr. Fernanda Biegel (Chair of UNESCO Committee for Open Science; Professor, National University of Cuyo, Argentina) and Dr. David Phipps (Director, Research Impact Canada; Associate Vice President Research Strategy & Impact, York University)
- Focused sessions for AU academics on the university’s emerging redesigned Strategic Research Plan and Research Data Management Strategy.
The Forum is an open event for those in and beyond the AU community interested in learning about AU’s established areas of research expertise and exploring new pathways for partnership, collaboration, and impact with researchers at Canada’s only open university.
