Graduate Student Research Conference: Call for Abstracts

The Athabasca University Graduate Students’ Association (AUGSA) and the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) at Athabasca University (AU) invite graduate students and 2022-2023 alumni to submit abstracts and posters for the 2023 Graduate Student Research Conference (GSRC), taking place in-person in Edmonton, Alberta on Oct. 13-15, 2023.

This year’s conference theme, “Driven to Learn”, celebrates AU students’ dedication, resiliency, and commitment to lifelong learning in an ever-changing world. Our students are groundbreaking and innovative in their research while transforming the lives and communities around them.

Abstracts will be accepted in the following formats:

• Paper presentations: 15-minute presentation, followed by a 5-minute question period
• Poster presentations: 5-minute presentation. Each poster will be available for viewing throughout the conference with a set time dedicated during the conference for speaking with the student presenter at their poster.

All abstracts will be peer-reviewed by a committee and submitters will be notified. Please note that you may be asked to revise your abstract. If so, you must complete the revisions before the abstract will be accepted.

Presenters must register for the 2023 conference. If you do not register your abstract will not be included in the schedule.
