Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and Athabasca University (AU) will host the Tenth Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning (PCF10) in Calgary, Canada, from Sept. 14-16, 2022, at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre.

The forum takes place every three years and is considered one of the world’s leading international conferences on open, distance and technology-enabled learning. It is co-hosted with different partners in different regions of the Commonwealth. The program is designed to explore applications of open and distance learning in widening educational access, bridging the digital divide, and advancing the social and economic development of communities and nations at large. The forum’s focus is on topics relating to developing countries and participation of practitioners from these countries.

The theme will be “Innovations for Education Resilience,” with sub-themes focused on building resilience, fostering lifelong learning, inspiring innovations, and promoting equity and inclusion. There will also be two special focus areas: education for girls and emerging technologies for education and training.
