Celebrating 25 years of disruption with the world’s first online MBA

Do you remember dial-up internet in 1994? 25 years ago, Athabasca University’s (AU) Faculty of Business launched the world’s first online MBA program.

Today, it seems like a no-brainer. But back then, AU completely disrupted the traditional bricks-and-mortar delivery model by enabling working professionals to take their careers to the next level without having to take a leave from their job or being forced to move.

As we celebrating 25 years of disruption by our online MBA program, we’ve created a site honouring the people and the work that’s been done through the years.

Visit the site by clicking here.

We’ll be updating it throughout the year, adding profiles, videos, and so much more. Keep checking it out as we look back and look to the future of AU’s life transforming online MBA program.
