Dr. Helen Lam‘s paper “Social media dilemmas in the employment context” published in Employee Relations (Volume 38, Issue 3, pp. 420-437) has received an Award for Excellence (2017) as a Highly Commended paper by Emerald Group Publishing’s Literati Network.
This prestigious recognition, decided by the Journal’s editorial board and awarded only to the few top papers published in the Journal for the previous year, was based on six criteria such as quality of scholarship, impact, and reader experience. The paper analyzes issues related to the use of social media that give rise to employment-related legal and ethical dilemmas, with reference made to recent case law development. It also offers practical recommendations for both employers and employees.
