Dr. Angela Workman-Stark appointed Program Director, Leadership and Management Development
We are pleased to announce Dr. Angela Workman-Stark has been appointed Program Director, Leadership and Management Development (LMD) effective immediately.

Angela started her journey with Athabasca University (AU) as an Online MBA for executives student, graduating from the program in 2001. She began working for AU in 2010 as an Academic Coach and was appointed Associate Professor, Organizational Behavior in the spring of 2016.
Athabasca University’s LMD courses focus on connecting theory to practice. Prior to coming to AU, Angela held significant leadership roles during her 24 years of service with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, her most recent was Director General, Partnerships & External Relations. She brings a breadth of leadership experience in organizational structure, cultural change, and issues of gender discrimination and harassment.
When asked about the current state of leadership and management and why it is important, she responds with passion:
“Developing leadership and management skills has never been more essential for organizations than it is today. For one, increased digitization is quickly changing the way we work and how we communicate with our employees and with our customers. In this new role, my goal is to build on AU’s success in online education and work with individuals and organizations to develop their leadership bench strength, such that they are well-equipped to tackle the challenges and opportunities both today and tomorrow.”
