Dietmar Kennepohl, AU Faculty of Science and Technology, professor featured on CTV Morning Live
Dr. Dietmar Kennepohl, Faculty of Science and Technology professor at Athabasca University (AU), joined CTV Morning Live Edmonton bright and early to discuss innovative approaches to teaching science from a distance.
He connected virtually through Skype with host Cory Edel to discuss at-home lab kits, his award-winning open textbook, and how science courses work at AU.
“Our classes are all delivered online and students work through the course material at their own pace,” he said. “For the lab components, there are many courses where we have remote-controlled labs, virtual labs, or mail-out lab kits for the student to complete at home. We have tutors assigned to help with every component of the course.”
