Sorting COVID-19 myth from fact

Can you pets get COVID-19? Is COVID-19 more dangerous than influenza? Are masks really helpful in preventing transmission? Should you be taking hydroxychloroquine

Mixed messages and misinformation abound in the age of COVID-19, but Athabasca University microbiologist Dr. Shauna Zenteno can help you sort out the myths from the facts.

The Faculty of Science and Technology dean spoke to an online audience of roughly 30 people at a Nov. 19 virtual meeting as part of a Science Outreach – Athabasca speaker series, and that presentation is available on demand for anyone who missed it.
