Leading through digital disruption: PowerED’s Jessica Scott featured on CTV Morning Live, Calgary
If the last eight months have taught us anything, it’s that businesses have had to shift and adapt to the rapidly changing landscape. As a result, employee’s positions and skill sets have had to change as well.
In response, PowerED™ Director Jessica Butts Scott joined CTV Morning Live Calgary to discuss how organizations can prepare themselves for digital disruption and withstand change, and gave some current examples that companies may be experiencing right now.
“Every industry has faced some form of disruption, and there are significant benefits for businesses that leverage new and transformative technologies in this digital era. In fact, according to Calgary Economic Development, it’s been projected that Calgary businesses will spend nearly $7.5 billion dollars on digital transformation from 2019 to 2022, ” explained PowerED™ Director Jessica Butts Scott.
In the business environment, for organizations to better respond and withstand change—like Calgary’s tech boom— they need to be adequately prepared for the impact of disruptive technologies on business operations.
Jessica discussed PowerED’s online and on-demand Digital Transformation Leadership Certificate, designed specifically to help leaders keep up with rapid technological change and adapt to the rise of technologies like blockchain, crypto-currencies, and the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) across business sectors.
“Our courses leverage knowledge from Alberta’s amazing tech-sector experts to develop the content that you can immediately apply to your organization,” concluded Butts Scott.
